About morning glory gourmet
Our Story
The precursor to Morning glory was started all the way back in 1986 when a business called Bakery Fare was born. Bakery fare was known as a "jobber " business. We had 3 trucks and would travel every night to 15 different bakeries picking up bakery goodies and then delivering them to restaurants, hospitals, and cafe's throughout Montgomery, Chester and Bucks county. In 1990 bakery fare was sold in order to open our own wholesale bakery in a tiny space in Norristown Pa.....Now we were the bakery guys instead of the delivery guys!
We baked only 5 things...Apple cakes, muffins, scones, brownies and sticky buns. We baked so much of these guys that people would ask all the time where could they buy them in retail? At that time there was no retail store carrying our product so we decided to open up our own store in Conshohocken Pa. So in 1993 Morning glory bakery was born. We remained a bakery only until 1998 when we added sandwiches and salads to our lineup. By the time 2007 rolled around it was decided to sell the business and return to our "roots" and become a wholesale only bakery again!
